How much substrate for a 2 gallon?

Looking to start a small 2 gallon like a Fluval Spec. I was hoping to use something like Fluval Plant Stratum - how much would I need, where could I find the amount I would need (I don't really want to buy a huge bag for only 2 gallons), and how much should I expect to pay? Thanks!

Hi battered, I just recently started a 2.5g. I used about a pound of leftover crushed coral and gravel mixed with MGOCPM, and bought a 5 pound bag of black gravel from Pets mart. And prolly used half of that. Here's a pic. Hope that helps.

Length x width x depth, all measured in inches,
then
divide by 1728 to get cubic feet
or divide by 269 to get gallons
or divide by 67 to get liters or quarts

in what units are the bags labeled?

Probably in pounds. If I remember correctly, one cubic yard of crushed limestone or sand is about 2200 pounds.
