Eco-complete in shrimp tank?

Anyone ever try this with caridina species (TT's, OEBT, etc.) with success? I'd hate to buy another substrate just to find that it is another waste of money:/ I'm mainly wondering if it is really inert, etc.

I had problems with it... forget exactly but it was GH/KH related and it didn't work out too well with reg tigers.

I'm guessing the hardness rose up? I don't need any of that, my kh is already 4 and gh 8:/ I think I'm backing off the eco complete and going with turface.

my OEBTs did not seem to like it at all... Yellow shrimp didn't care though.

Eco-Complete is inert. That's directly from Carib-Sea's director of sales (I've posted his responses a few times on the forum).

That said - I use EC in all kinds of tanks with varying types of water and have never had it impact any water parameter at all. Seems for the most part that people who experience issues have other factors involved that they aren't considering.
