Has Any One Had PH issues With MGOPS

I think I have narrowed my ph problems down. i think it is the mirical organtic potting soil. has anyone else has PH GH KH issues with it. My Tap water PH is about 7. I have yet to mesure gh and kh, but in the tank with mirical organtic poting soil mixed with ecco-complete, with a pool filter sand cap will not hold PH it has been cycling for 2 weeks and it keeps dropping, now it is around 6.4-6.2 with a GH and KH of 0-1.

I am going to use some buffer and crushed coral to bring it back up. Anyone else have this issue?

did you mineralize it first?

If you didnt, then the MGOP is the problem.

My tap water ph is 7 as well. I mineralized mine. And my ph has been 7 since day one.

There are 2 types of people on this forum. Those that have algae, and those that lie and say they don't.

Unless you can tell us tap gh/kh, this means nothing. If you have very low kh, your ph will drop. You have no buffering capability.

So lets see what we're working with.

Calibrated test kits?
