Blasting sand???

Menards sells blasting sand. Will this be ok to use? I live in the Chicago area, if anyone has a location that sells the Black Diamond post please.

I use Kiln Dried sand that is used for block paving if its enert and similar to that then i would say yes research as to the ingredients to ensure no reactions occur that may affect the ph of your tank i have it in all my tanks without problems

Yep, I used menards black coal slag. It's worked out just fine. I'd suggest you soak / rinse it first. I threw mine in without doing that . . . the fish were acting stressed; methinks there may have been something leaching out initally.
