Assassin Snails & Dirt

If i add assassin snails to my dirt tank, will they dig up the dirt when they bury in the substrate?

Mine burrow in the substrate but never seem to go more than an inch down.

It's possible. They will only burrow deep enough where there is still oxygen present in the soil. Generally without an UGF that's ~1inch. How much of a cap do you have?

Fish Shrimp tanks are like cups of coffee, one is never enough.

It's not very deep... varies between about half to an inch in depth (the cap).

Hm... they might dig it up a bit then. Generally oxygen can permeate 1inch with looser substrates. With sand cap it might not be that much, but with only 1/2inch of cap you might see some dirt up.
