??? Black Diamond & Cories ???

Question...
does black diamond have sharp edges that will injury the barbels on cories...?

i am planning a 10 gal planted tank with black diamond as my substrate. i plan on putting dainty cory and red cherry shrimp in this tank.

Black diamond actually has a pretty soft feel to it in water so I wouldn't be too concerned. Water quality plays a role in the health of their barbels more than the substrate.

This has been my experience as well. My corys' barbels look great, and they've been on eco-complete for 6 months plus. This is one of the substrates that has been implicated in cory barbel erosion.
