HA, not sure about that.

I have a landscape yard near my house and they are selling to me for .25 a pound though

Most of the stone here in tennessee is limestone. Which can raise ph from what I have read.

i use sand stone all the time in my tanks

From what I understand sand stone is fine. Just make sure you clean it like anything before you put it in your tank.
