Fluval shrimp substrate cap?

I currently have pfs as my base and wondering if I should top it with fluval shrimp substrate or remove the pfs all together.

8g Nano with OEBT's and RCS, java moss, duckweed, and frogbit.

Any ideas?

As long as the shrimp are doing ok I wouldnt mess with it. What are your parameters?
