final layer

I would like to cover eco complete with a final layer of something. Mostly for appearance so the eco complete isnt such a contrast to the rockwork. It would be nice if there was something common that would also be benifical as part of the substrate like some of the ADA products but readily available. Has anyone had any interest in doing something like this? What did you find?

Virtually impossible to do. If the fish don't mix it, you will everytime you go in to gravel vac or replant or change the decor.

Maybe you could try doing a beach area in the front of the tank with a substrate which looks more like your rockwork.

Probably true, especially with a mound. A beach or river could be interesting.
It should all be covered with glosso eventually so Im not really that picky, just curious after seeing some of the ADA product like a final carbon layer.
