Peat Pot in planted aquarium

the ides is to use a peat pots and fill them half way with organic soil or peat moss and add some root tabs and fill the half with sand or gravel.

has anyone else tried this method? i was going to use this method for those plants which prefer acidic substrate. i was going to bury the peat pot into my eco complete so it does not break down easily into the water.

let me know if this method will work or not. IMO i think this should work fine.

i use these:

I was thinking of using the 2" pots for something similar, maybe using aquasoil or similar substrate in the pot.

I don't see why it wouldn't. its just pressed and dried peat. just plant it quickly once you get it in the water before it falls apart. you should be fine.

this peat moss contain nitrogen and etc, i let it sit outside for couple of days in bucket of water and change the water every couple of days, just trying to get rid of any big floating pieces. i will add it wet in the pot so this way it does not float after adding some eco complete on top of it.
