Contro soil

I am trying this substrate after getting tired of the algae blooms since working 12 shifts and not having constant CO2 left me unable to attend to my tank like I would like. I first told a friend to try this substrate for his fish tank and after seeing how clear his tank was I decided to try it. Its a Japanese based substrate that's made from volcanic ash.

There was no clouding at all after I started to fill the tank with water. Even when some of the soil was stirred up by my friend missing the bowl no dust formed still. This was the opposite effect I first experienced when doing the same thing with AS.

Here is my tank right after being fill with no water changes. I'm no expert when it comes to these things so I don't know how it compares with AS on the nutrient level. I don't even know if it even contains nutrients to begin with.

Yeah it does but can you show me any substrate that's made from soil, clay, etc that's not in some pellet form. I seen many different Japanese bands of soil based substrate that are all in pellet form. Someone can easily say that aqua soil looks like another brand or the other way around unless you exactly know which came first.

Orlando told me it was the same as the Oliver Knott Nature soil as well, which I've heard good things about.
