2.5 gallon substrate

Hi all I know this has been asked many times before. I am setting up a 2.5 gallon tank the tank is only going to have Dwarf baby tears (hopefully carpeting) and RCS. 13 watt cfl , HOB filter and heater. I would like a black substrate but would like to know if one would work better for the plants and shrimp. Eco complete, flourite black ,flouramax or caribsea black? Also for ferts I am going to use the same as in my other tank Yamato green. thanks
