Switching from Eco-complete to Aquasoil.

I'm going to make the switch in a few weeks when my Aquasoil comes in. I know people say that the AS leeches out Ammonia when first introduced.

Now, I only have plants in the tank but want to know how an ammonia spike would affect them?

The tank was cycled but since I've switched to strictly plants, I'm not sure about how much beneficial bacteria is in the tank.

Thanks for reading,
Jon

If you're strictly plants, then you're fine. It will have no impact on the plants except for the possibility that they might actually like it! Plants do have the capacity to filter out ammonia in the water.

No worries, go for it.

Awesome, ktown!

Thanks for the response! That is what I was hoping for. I just didn't want to lose anything as the plants are all doing really well.
