How many MTS needed for MTS in a Fluval Edge?

Lol as stated how many trumpets should I scoop up for my newly set up edge with MTS to prevent anaerobic spots?
I have 3 assassin snails too so I'm not worried about them getting out of control.

I would just put a bunch of mts in there to get a good colony going. Then add in the assassins a few weeks later to control the mts. Since it's newly setup, you don't really have to worry about anaerobic spots till a few months down the road, unless you have some really deep areas.

The Assassins should do the same job as the MTS. My Assassins turn their noses to MTS.

Wouldn't a properly planted tank prevent these from happening as the roots will release O2 into the substrate?
