Use sulfate of potash instead of muriate of potash for MTS?

I have been looking to pick up some muriate of potash for the MTS I am going to make. I talked with a guy at a local store and didnt have any in stock but looked into ordering it. The only muriate of potash he could find came in pellet form for water softeners. While looking he saw sulfate or potash and under it, it said something to the effect that it was better than muriate of potash becuase it was less harmful to bacteria and plant roots??

Does anyone see any problem with using the pellet form of the muriate of potash?

Next question, has anyone used the sulfate of potash instead of the muriate of potash? Can anyone see any problems with doing so?

Using the prill form of potassium chloride should be fine. There is a small amount of binding agent, but it should be OK.
