I planted some today and it is dusty but I think it is getting better. wait days before you take any measures.

The best medicine in your medicine cabinet is clean water.
38 gallon: 4 kribs, 10-12 rummy nose tetras, , 2 cories, 1 BN pleco, 4 kuhlis
Do!aqua: not set up yet

seems odd that you are posting a thread asking for advice on this vary subject when answering it in another thread.

Water changes will help.

I have never had that problem with AS. Did you plant on damp substrate then slowly fill it up? I usually lay some saran wrap over the substrate and slowly fill up the tank. Amazonia will sometimes leach humic acids so the water may take on the color of weak tea.

ADA recommends using carbon the first few weeks of setup to take care of this issue.

I just started a new tank with Amazonia Aquasoil about 3 weeks ago. I filled it very slowly and it didn't cloud up. It began to cloud the 2nd day and gradually get worse. I started changing 75% of the water every 2 to 3 days for 2 weeks and its crystal clear now. Since it didn't cloud right away I think it wasn't that it was being "stirred up", but rather leaching out slowly into the water.

Just let it sit man. Everytime you touch the water you are stirring it up even more. It can take a few days to settle but if you are constantly messing with the tank, including water changing, it can take a very long time.

Mine took 7 weeks to completely clear. No need to do extra water changes, use chemicals or add extra filter media, just give it time...
