will hydrated lime work?

I finally found some potash. Now I cant find any dolomite...closest thing I can find is hydrated lime...will this work for my MTS?? Isn't dolomite lime? It's also in a powder form not granule. Please help! XD

Hydrated lime is calcium hydroxide, no magnesium at all. It isn't the best source of calcium for an aquarium either.

i picked up some regular garden lime it has..... 21% Calcium. 10% Magnesium 29%. calcium Oxide 29%. Magnesium Oxide 17%. Calcium Carbonate 52%. Mag Carbonate 35%.
will this work Hoppy? or should i return it and buy that dang 50lb bag of dolomite thats 25 miles away
