I've had my aquasoil in my tank for 6 months now. With weekly water changes, it still stains the water a little bit. Just not as yellow as it was when I first got it. My tank with aquasoil 2 is crystal clear.

It may also be how your water entering impacts the the water and substrate. I had a biowheel and I had the same problem but after I switched to using a spray bar I never had cloudy water again.

Do you have any wood in your tank? My tank with AS1 completely cleared after six weeks.

I don't think his complaint is about the water being cloudy, it's about the yellow tannins that leech out of the Aquasoil. I’ve had varying degrees of this with my tanks, even when using the same bag of Aquasoil.

My bad I guess I miss read it. I had this problem with my first try at using aquasoil, but I tried again with another bag and had no problems. But you could try more carbon.
