Air bubbles in substrate :S

So I can see airbubbles at the front of the glass under the play sand.

I did a border of play sand (using egg crate to keep it against the wall) before laying down Miracle Gro Organic Garden Soil and capping it with play sand. Should I go get some Malysian trumpet snails or something of the such to aerate the substrate? or is that going to cause havoc with the substrates mixing quicker the 'gravity' would allow?

What are everyone's suggestions? just leave it be? or ???
