Air in substrate after initial filling
Hi
I finally have my 75 gal up and running, put my carpet plants in a couple of days ago. I got my tiger lotus bulbs and plant weights in today, so I planted the "bonus" stem plants that came with the dwarf hairgrass mats. In doing so I noticed air bubbling up when I planted the stem plants, so I started poking the substrate and found a lot of air bubbling up. Is this normal? And if so should you poke the substrate a day or so after filling to release the air? There was no foul smell and nothing has been in the tank long enough to decay.
