20 gallon long heavy planted

I recently got a 20 long on a dollar per gallon sale. I want to do a sand cap on top of some sort of potting soil or earth worm castings any suggestions on what type of dirt to use.

You can use those miracle grow potting soil just make sure that whatever you use, is organic. For the sand, wash the hell out of it to remove all the debris.
