Capping fourite black with play sand

Would there be any issue with this?

I'm not going to suffocate the BB in my flourite by capping it or anything will I?

I'm mainly doing this for ease of maintenance and scale in the nano tank. Flourite black gran size it just a bit big for my taste. I'm also a little more into the natural look of sand.

They will mix over time. You will have to suck some out with a siphon and replace from time to time.

I'm okay with a bit of mixing, especially in such a small tank I think it will be easy to manage. Just as long as I'm not hurting the ecosystem of the tank.

Actually the problem I have now is certain areas in my tank are getting low on flourite so I'd like to fill it all in with sand so that's the stuff I'm getting the the vacuum, not the flourite
