Gravel/Sand for Dirt Planted Tank

I will be setting up my 120-gallon tank soon. I have bought every equipment and have everything to set up the tank. I just need the gravel to top the dirt I will be using. I found this store next to me that sells 70lbs of gravel/sand for only $2-$6. What is the best sand/gravel that they sell for a planted dirt tank?(I really like the jersey gold but I don't know if it would be too big) This is their website: Bedford Gravel & Landscape Supply Decorative Stone Gallery Mount Kisco.
Thanks a lot,

What kind of dirt are you using?

Typical cap would be the size of pool filter sand or medium blasting sand.
Larger substrates allow to much action between dirt and water column.
Not a very tight cap will allow leaching of dirt, could be floating material, various compounds etc...

Growing is not that difficult.
