I will start with your second question, you will have to remove the fish. Your ammonia will be way to high for any fish.

In my tank I have aquasoil and eco-complete in my tank but just a heads up the aquasoil will slowly come to the surface. I did the same thing and now its pretty much blended.

Thanks

ok so if i give eco a miss, can i get 2 bags of aquasoil and leave it in a bucket for a week or 2 intill the ammonia settles and then transfer it to main tank?

also is eco-complete better then ordinary greavel and will i see a big diffrence?

I have tried that also but it seems soaking it does help a bit but everytime I added some to a tank I got a pretty decent ammonia spike even if I had soaked the aquasoil for over 2 months.

Thanks
