seachem flourite red?

So I decided to start a new tank and picked up some sachem fluorite red substrate and had a few questions. First is it good stuff? Second im setting up a 20 tall tank and don't think one bag will do it so I was wondering if there was anything I could supplement with it to fill the void that would look nice with the red. Third I will be planting a carpet of baby tears and do y'all think it would root well in the larger granule size? Thanks!
