eco-complete and RO water

first 2 week when i added the eco complete and i added RO water which was reading PH of 6.5 and 75ppm hardness, but week later it was reading 7.2PH and 300ppm hardness. they claim it does not effect water chemistry but IMO it effects it big time as you can see. how long do i have to wait until it will be stable?

I just setup another 55g tank using 4 20lb bags of Carib Sea Eco Complete (12/22/10). Right on the bag it states that it can raise carbonate hardness. This is the first time I've used it without it being in a combination mix with Flourite. Are you testing GH and KH? If so is it raising both?

Can't answer your question regarding how long this effect will last but I'm now going to be testing more often on this tank watching it. We'll both be able to answer it before long I imagine.

Also using RO and just tested the tank and the TDS reading is 168ppm.

both of our tank are only set week apart, if you experience anything in your water please keep me updated, i don't want to waste more RO water if it is keeping my current GH at 300ppm+ in my tank for right now. until then i will use my regular tap water which is 300ppm hardness and will do water changes every week until i start adding RO water again.

i only tested for GH which read 75ppm when i added the water and then it read 150ppm next week and on 3rd week it read 250-300ppm and i changed my water.

one more thing, my RO water is 3ppm in hardness but i add this with 50% tap water which brings it about 75ppm hardness, but i never thought that eco complete would raise the GH by 300ppm+, hopefully it will finally stop.
