It's been about five years ago that I was planning a planted tank. One of the supplies I purchased for it was laterite. I don't see laterite mentioned much.

I'd like to build a dirt tank. Would the addition of laterite be good? bad? neutral?

Never mind..
Just some info:

Laterites are rich in iron but lower CEC than some other types of aquarium clay substrates..
Rate it as... "good"..
