New scape how to cycle

New scape. My plan is of course to reuse my ada aqua soil (2 months old). Going to dry start it and in the mean while the fish, shrimps and filter will be in a another tank. Should I cycle the tank again for two weeks with a bottle of ammonia? Or just transfer filter and livestock over after dry start?

Are you using a new filter or transferring an old filter? Did you/can you keep the old filter media in tank (or treated) water while you transfer?

Transfering old filter with old media. The filter is Going on a tank where I keep plants and rcs in. + the current livestock while be there during the dry start. This filter is about 2 months old so there is Some bacteria but not very much I guess.

If the old filter is cycled you should be good as long as you keep it with with tank water. Personally I'd just move it and then test every day to make sure my ammonia and nitrites are at 0. If it's not cycled then you can chose between pure ammonia and fish/plants. You might just be good without any additional effort.
