Just ordered Eco-Complete

After talking with the LFS I was convinced I "needed" this stuff. So now, I need to explain to my girlfriend why I just spend $75 on "rocks".

... on "substrate", not rocks.

Use big words whenever possible to make it sound more important.

I'm running Eco for the first time in my 48. I like it a lot so far. It cycled really quick and it looks good too.

Eco- Complete Black for me. I like it!!! Great substrate for sure! If you can't convince her it was her idea, just tell her to "get over it"! She needs to know that you will continue to spend necessary wods of $$$ on your aquatic display!

Shrimp are able to move about, and so are not sessile

Benthic is the term your looking for I think, unless of course you are speaking about crustaceans in general of which barnacles are sessile. Pretty sure there aren't any freshwater barnacles though. Anyone?

Nope, there are freshwater clams, and other inverts, but I think they are all mobile if need be.
