MTS and Osmocote.

Have decided to set up 29 US Gal, low light planted tank. Am going to use Mineralized top soil mixed with red potters clay and am considering also using "Osmocote" under, or added to this mixture.
The product Osmocote is in pellet form and I am unclear as to how much to use.
Welcome input on expieriences of those who have used it and many thanks in advance!
And if it's not too much trouble,, The clay I found is in a five lb. Semi moist block ,and I am also wondering if anyone might recommend a more measured amount for my application.
Again, many thanks in advance.

roadmaster,

Google this, "Low-Tech Natural Aquarium Guide" and look for an article by Dan Quackenbush. He describes using osmacote in his kitty litter substrate aquariums.

Good luck and post some pics once you get it going!
