Florite black sand vs black

Im starting up a new tank, and i love the look of sand but i like the effects of gravel for my fish/plants. Sand looks better to me, but i no that gravel is easyer to clean for the most part and doesnt hold any pockets for bad stuff to grow in. I have discus so the water being clean is very important.

I just wanted to no how big is the flourite black sand compared to pool filter sand? and how big is the gravel? Because if the sand is bigger i might get it.

Thanks!

Brandon

The black sand is very fine (this is my 10gal)-

But the black is also pretty small and gets sucked up into vacuums easily (this is my 29gal)

I've never used PFS and understand that there are usually regional differences in it, but I think it's usually larger in size than both of the Flourites.

PFS is likely larger than flourite sand, but not larger than flourite regular. It is sand, and has small grain size compared to flourite.
