Black Flourite sand or Eco-Complete?

I wanted to cap my organic potting mix with one of these but I am having trouble deciding which one to get. It will be going into a 10g low-tech tank. I know there having been other posts answering this debate but I did not come across one that wanted to cap soil. I would plan on having cories, lyretail swordtails, shrimp too maybe.

I'm planning a similar setup like yours. In fact I have one with Organic Soil already, but with gravel, now I'm going for sand.

Similar thread posted, some people have said that 1" or less of sand wont create
anaerobic spots.

That is good to know. My fear is that the sand will end up on the bottom exposing the soil. How do I keep them seperated? Especially when I try to aquascape it. That is my next problem. I need new rocks for that and some driftwood. Problem is I don't want to spend alot. Any ideas?
