46g bowfront. can i do anything with this??

I have an extra 46g bowfront that i would like to do something with. Not sure what yet. i am interested in creating a small rain forest type setup. I would like a waterfall and maybe some carnivorous plants. Or if carnivouros plants are out then any live plants would be cool. A small pool of water would be nice as well. I also like newts so i dont know if they will work.

is this all possible with a 46g bowfront? would i need an open top or a glass top? what type of lighting?

i am very new to this so any information would help.

you could put a riparium in it with some representative plants, such as swords, and fish, such as tetras and Apistogramma. that would be pretty easy.
