Buddhist pine

Does anyone have experience with this plant in frog vivs? I'm starting up a red eyed tree frog tank and bought this plant because it was cheap and I figured worst case scenario I could plant it in my yard. I can't really find any mention of it being safe or dangerous for them, just a couple mentions of people using it in crested gecko tanks and that it's dangerous to cats and dogs when ingested.

If by buddhist pine, you mean podocarpus, it will get huge eventually. They are often sold as 2" babies, up to 14" potted monsters of up to 8ft as indoor houseplants. Could maybe bonsai it. It will definitely not be hardy in Canada. Personally I've seen them sometimes produce some strange resins from it's leaves. I'm not sure I'd keep it w/ a frog. It also prefers cooler temps.
