Questions about my first terrarium..

Just started my first terrarium, although I have successes with a planted fish tank. My container is a 20g long tank. I resused my dirt soil from my low tech tank and to mix it with some African violet soil from Miracle Grow. The mixture is supposed to make my soil less compact and less likely to hold too much water. I have my drain layer filled with big stones and pebbles. I think the "plumbing" is good enough. I went to my local Lowes and Homedepot to get some smaller house plants. I got some Pilea (silver tree), Hypoestes, some type ferns http://inhabitat.com/7-indoor-plants...r-air-purific/ and some types of Fittonia.

At first, I thought I would keep it an open terrarium but I decided to keep it close since it is winter now and my home is pretty dry at the moment. The terrarium is powered by 2 15w CFL. The lighting seem to be bright enough judging with my eyes. The soil is moist because they are from my low tech tank and which has been broken down few days ago. After mixing in with the African violet soil from Miracle Grow, they are damp enough.

My question is that should I keep it open or close? Should I mist the plants now or in the next few days?

I would assume your plants would be fine with an open top as they came from a store that doesn't keep them closed in either. ... other than that I'm not sure

I think I am overthinking this....I mean, they are just plants. No live stocks. I will keep it close with some saran wrap. I don't think it is going to hurt to have a bit of humility inside.
