Light fixture suggestion for 20H and 30 gallon ripariums

Hi,

Have been working with high tech planted tanks for some time now.
And would like to try a riparium.

Two possible suspects are:
20H (24" long) and 30gallon (36" long) rimless tanks.

Planning to have 2/3rd of water to be available in there and use hanging planters on the back with some taller plants.

Definitely will suspend light fixture from the ceiling. The question is, which light?

I was recommend EcoTech Marine Radion XR15 FW Freshwater LED Light Fixture. Will one fixture be enough for plants above as well as below the water (java fern/anubias)?

Please help with suggestions regarding what light will work well for 20H as well as 30 gallon tanks.

Thanks!!

You're going to see disco using that in air. That goes for any fixture running more than a single color without secondary optics, or more than two colors with an optical system. If disco doesn't bother you, it will work fine and is overkill for your aquatic plants.

Depending on mounting height, you'll probably need two on a 36" long tank for decent coverage.

you can stick to finnex planted+ or other proven led's for aqautic plants, it'll work just as well for emersed plants

Definitely disco will bother me...

Was looking at Kessil A160WE but not sure if it produces "disco" like effect.

Regarding FugeRay Planted+. Will 1 x 24" strip be enough for 20H (24" long) riparium and does it have any suspension hardware to hang it to the ceiling?

Thanks!

you can quickly find pictures of finnex lights, they don't have any specific hangers for wires but what I did was just use the ends of it that normally sit on the tank trim.

You'll have disco from any light running more than two colors of LEDs in air, whether they're arranged in strips, pucks, or clusters. Colors just don't mix in air like they do in water.

What are you planning to keep in the water, particularly down near the substrate? That'll determine your necessary light levels and delineate best lighting options.
