does anyone know if crypts will grow planted in shallow water? will they break the surface and continue to grow or will they stunt under the water level?
also, are there any crypts that are "dwarf" or short varieties that could grow nearly completely out of the water?
this biotope thing is complex...

Most crypts will grow out of the water if it shallow, say a few centimeters or so. Don't have an answer for your other question though, sorry.
