Has anyone built a river system -multi tiered water setup?

I'd like to create a river system using a 29 gallon tank with multi-tiers ... several (2 or 3) pools of different hights creating a nice current. Looking for ideas ... ultimately I'm envisioning 1/3 water and 2/3 land (height) so the water will be greater than most vivs I've seen.

Also looking fo ideas of livestock for such a tank ... anphips and fish and inverts ... water and terrestrial.

The Urban Ecology Center in Milwaukee, WI USA has a river-tank setup consisting of 3 seventy-five gallon tanks flowing one into the other. It's quite nice. I've donated fish to them before. They may be willing to talk to you about their setup if you tell them that I referred you. The person you would want to talk to is: Beth Fetterley (Director of Education). Her email is: [email protected]. If you want to check-out their website, it's http://www.urbanecologycenter.org. If you want to stock your setup with some cool US-native riverine fish, check out my website (http://www.btdarters.com) or send me an email. It's [email protected]. Good luck with your setup!
