2.5 gallon.....possibly red claw crab?

Alright im a little shamed to even think of this but yet curious to see if it would work...ok ill just lay it out.

I still have the 2.5g mettaframe tank. Would putting in one of the smaller in tank waterfall filters and cleverly making a water and a land portion be suitable for a single red claw crab or any other brackish crab? Just a singleton? I mean, this tank is pretty long for a 2.5g, not one of the tall 2.5g picos. And water changes would be simple and frequent.

Ill probably draw it out tomorrow....but just wanted to get anyone's opinion on the matter.
Ill try and explain it right now-

the filter in the back left corner. Take some plastic crate and grout to make water fountain leading into the water portion. Above the water portion create a sort of ledge pool to put sand in and a hiding place (though there will be other spots underneath this will be the land portion to hide) basically layering it with water underneath, a way to get up and onto the land ledge too... like I said a picture will be coming to better represent. Oh and a heater will be placed on the back with a guard or hidden spot that will also work with the layout

I don't really see why not. A 2.5 gallon isn't a whole lot of space but depending on how you agrange the layout I think you could pull it off. Looking forward to the illistrations.

I've been thinking alot about red claw crabs lately... I will keep an eye on this thread!

30 g, fluorite, co2 pump – danios and moss balls - lots of other planted stuff
10 g, dwarf frogs, tetras, guppies, blue mystery snails
1 g, cherry shrimp / baby guppies / assassin snails
big fish bowl – betta
coming soon – custom “shrimpatarium!”

Hmmm, I don't know. I owned a red claw once and he was extremely active, he ran all over the place. I mean I don't think it would die or anything but he will get real bored, and will be constantly trying to escape. On the other hand I've had fiddler crabs before and they where much more docile, more boring but might be better in the smaller tank.
