Good luck on the moss. I collected some for my riparium and it died. Guess it dodn't like all the water, even though it was on my dry area. Might try keeping it really dry, and only mist it once a day or something. Looks really nice though, good job.

Just because its dirt doesn't make it low tech.

I found rocks in my yard to kind of fit close together in the shape that i wanted. I then siliconed them in place.

No, sorry.

So far so good. I think there are two or three type. One type appears to be doing better, we will see. I don't mist, but it does have a closed top to keep moisture in. I have been meaning to get a humidity gauge.

Beautiful and adorable at the same time, really looks like such a larger tank until you see the eggcrate.

If the mosses don't work out, just replace with some aquatic species or riccia (which looks cool when grown emersed over a rock).

Did you just make this word up? It's not in the dictionary and googling it only results in this thread, and your picture on Flickr.

In any case, I like it!

Good job wordsmith! Nice tank too!

Ha no, It came out of a discussion on here between Tom Barr and Hydrophyte about the differences between paludariums, vivariums, ripariums, etc..

Are you planing on putting anything in there animal wise? Reason i ask is i have a 2.5g meta-frame and in terms of fish theres not much you can do but didn't know if you have any ideas (please don't take this as a thread hijack, just seeing what your ideas are related to your project) Btw looks awesome!

Is there a link for a how-to on this sort of setup with egg crates and cork?

Did you paint it?
