My crested gecko tank build log

For Xmas my wife surprised me with a zoomed 18x18x24 for my incoming crested geckos. My original plan was to convert a few 10g or 20g tanks. But you can say she forced my hand haha she wants me to make somthing "pretty"

Building somthing on this scale is new for me and so far has posed some challenges.
I started of by sourcing some hard scape at a few of my local pet stores and I ordered a few pieces of driftwood from chewy. Once I found about what I was looking for I began to spray foam and create the background and that came along with the 2 hours of carving adding silicone and substright.

Today I came home to the new light i ordered. It is the finnex 24:7 planted plus I have followed a few builds that have used this light and it has a decent bang for your buck. I am waiting for some plants to come in in a few days along with the Malaysian driftwood I ordered I will have plenty of pictures to follow.
At this point I am a little back and forth on how this viv will turn out but once I get everything togeather I am sure I will feel better about this build wish me luck guys

So I have finally had the time to add a little life to this tank. I orderd everything from NEHERP.
Neoregelia, tillandsia ionantha, Laurentii, pilea depressa, and a bunch of moss.
I am in love with how this had come out so far I have a few more thing on the way that I'm hoping will finish this tank up and I can not wait to get some geckos in here. I am going to give it a few months befor any critters are added tho I want everything to be growing good befor it gets walked all over .

Very nice! I'm in love with how it's come out too. You've done a great job so far!

Have you succumbed to the pleasure of Multiple Tank Syndrome? I feel your pain!
