Low Tech Pal.

I am new to fish and what not but I heard about this site and though it could help. I meant to start this earlier but it was postponed so I am now going to need some helpful tips and ideas for building a pal. since it is my first (with fish). I already have some of the amphibians and reptiles chosen for this project but am relatively new to fish. I also don't know what kind of lighting a pal. should have and i was of course planning on using live plants. Now here is what i have so far...

Tank: 20 long or 29 gal
Plants: ?
Reptiles: Anolis carolinensis, Hemidactylus frenatus
Amphibians: Paramesotriton chinensis, Bombina orientalis
Fish: Chaetostoma cf. thomasi

Any help and ideas will be considered and deeply appreciated for use in this project thank you and please comment.

You might want to think about a larger aquarium than a 20 or 29. You want to have reptiles, amphibians, fish and plants all in the same tank correct? I have scene it done at the zoo's and stuff but I think you might need alot more room than you realize. You could possibly pull off fish plants and amphibians in a 29. Reptiles are a different care sheet all together. It may be to humid for them and the aquarium water might not be the best drinking water for them.

Startig Over!!!

As many of you know or are just now finding out the $1 a gallon sale at petco starts today (6/27) so I have to start over due to I can now get a larger tank. So this is now all I have decided...

Tank Size: 40 Breeder
Amphibians: Bombina orientalis, Paramesotriton chinensis, Cynops pyrrhogaster or orientalis, and some other suggestions.
Reptiles: Anolis carolinensis, Hemidactylus frenatus, and taking suggestions.
Fish: Mikrogeophagus ramirezi, Chaetostoma cf. thomasi, Brachydanio rerio, Tanichthys albonubes and taking suggestions

Thats all I have but things can be changed depending on the new ideas that come in and I don't plan on having all of the fish listed there probabaly just 3 or so but it still depends and once again HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED thanks
