Red face Natural Peacock day gecko tank with pics!

Hi there, first of all I would like to thank Marco for all of his help with my many little questions. Until I saw his tank many many months ago, I thought all day geckos required bamboo and sansaveria and that put me off....but here is my new tank.

There are three basking areas at different distances from the basking light. I have now hidden the wire and there are still two cork tubes to go in behind the sunny ficus. But this will give you the idea!

I cant wait till the ficus fills the background....Please let me know what you think!!!!!

Looks great! Can you get a closeup of one of the geckos?

I can't comment on how many people look at this section though

I love vivarium journals, but I try to stay out of here because it gives me too many ideas for a dart frog tank and that is far beyond my budget at the moment . The plants look beautiful, what do you have in there? Any action shots of the gecko?

Thanks guys, that is a relief, in my other forum if there is not comments it is usualy because people dont like it.

Anyway, geckos are not in yet. Getting the from Hamm, Germany on Saturday and should be in the tank by the end of next week, will get pics when they are in!!

Know what you mean about dartfrog vivs...I have wanted to do one for years, but want a 4-6ft tank that is about 2ft tall for them...I will keep dreaming! LOL

tank looks nice. will be better when it fills in.

btw, u may want to give the brom a bit of fertilizer (NOTE: a bit, broms are vert sensitive and too much can really hurt it), cuz its flowering, and will die with the flower. however, it will make pups (little plantlets around the base) first. the more fertilizer and light, the more pups it makes.

Hi thanks. Yeah, the brom on the bottom left besid the wood is actually an old brom and has 6 pups...the other has just been bought but I have this all natural stuff that I can use on them. Got some fungas shelves to go in also and hope the ficus will fill in the top.

Geckos are in and are stunning! They get on really well and have been eating and playing since day one. This pic was taken from the side of the tank and they are on top of some a hide I made out of the panel...again, hopefully the ficus will cover all this area up in time. All gotta start somewehre! LOl
