The blue green algae was isolated. Only on that pinnatifida leaf which I cut away.
At 14 days since flooding I increased the photoperiod from 4 to 6 hours. The response is a massive outbreak of green hair algae. Everywhere on the slower growing plants, the driftwood, rock work. Itís massive and itís crazy.
I guess the reason is that 1. the tank is still to immature for an increased photo period and 2. The co2 levels were not able to match up.
I have reverted back to the 4 hour photo period and cranked up the co2 to 3 bubbles per second. Co2 switches on 3 hours prior to the lights on and closed only 1 hour prior to lights off.
