I've been having issues with BBA and GBA appearing in my tank. BBA grows even on old leaves of stem plants (Bacopa compact). GBA grows mostly on driftwood, bucephalandra/anubias and some Echinodorus.
Here is a video where all the algae in my tank are visible: https://imgur.com/gallery/plSuSnj
Tank has 28W led lights (Juwel says they are 220 PAR at 20cm), on 8 hours a day. I have pressurized CO2, on 8 hours a day (starts 1.5h before lights on and shuts off 1.5h before lights off). Tap water pH is 7.5 (cheap pH meter says 8), tank water has pH 6.3 (according to same cheap meter) when CO2 is max lever just before lights on. Drop checker is lime green (definitely not yellow). CO2 is as high as possible without shrimp swimming erratically.
I dose EI with an automated dosing pump in small doses every day. I use Aqua Rebell Makro Basic Estimative Index
for macro and Aqua Rebell Mikro Basic Eisen
for micros. I used to dose these amounts per week NO3: 20.608, PO4: 3.808, K: 15.764, Mg: 1.12, Fe: 0.14, Mn: 0.0665, Cu: 0.0084, B: 0.0056, Zn: 0.0028, Mo: 0.0056 in total. Since then I decreased micros to half
after Iron was building up, and decreased macros by 25%
, because PO4 and K were building up. Also because my TDS was increasing by the week (first TDS was 170 after water change, then 200 after water change, then 230 after water change...), and figured since macros were what I added the most it means I am adding too much.
I change 50 % of water every week, using tap water (clean soft water, TDS 80). I feed inside a feeding ring, and make sure every single bite is eaten.
My PO4 used to be off the scale (scale stops at 1.8 mg/l) and K too (scale stops at 15 mg/l). Iron used to get up to 0.3 mg/l before I decreased micros. Nitrates are currently between 25-50 mg/l.
Plants seem to be growing well, here is an animation of growth in last 10 days: https://imgur.com/gallery/UzCIDJU
Tank is stocked at around 90 % according to Aqadvisor. Tank is 120 liters, filter is eheim eXperience 250. Bag of purigen in the filter also.
What am I doing wrong? I've also got basically every type of algae eater in the tank, but the algae still keeps spreading.
