How to get rid of this dark green algae that slides off of whatever its on?

I started getting this dark green, slimy algae on everything. However, it comes off easily when disturbed, in small sheets or clunks, so I can easily get it off and vacuum it up. But, its a pain in the butt because it comes back very quickly, so its a weekly chore when doing water changes. Any advice?

Tank stats, dosing, lighting, fish load, plant load, cleaning schedule?

Itís common blue green slime algae. Plenty of online articles to read about it.

There are several ways to get rid of it, but it's not that uncommon. It's actually a bacteria and is usually seen in new setups that have a weak bio-filter and/or plant mass. There are a few commercially available products that are packaged for BGA, but you can use erythomycin

Just follow directions as if your treating a fish and the BGA will be gone. Many tanks as they simply mature with plant growth will rid themselves of this, but the erytho will get rid of it very quickly.
