New to Live

Hello -

I'm setting up my first live planted tank and have a silly question - do I need to cycle the new tank before adding plants? It's a 5.5 gal tank with an Azoo Mignon power filter, 25W heater, 14W full spectrum fluorescent strip light, fluorite gravel and filtered water. I plan on having a few crypts, some dwarf hairgrass , a red indian sword and possibly a betta.

I am no expert but i am pretty sure the plant will be ok during the cycle... i read somewhere the plant will also help the cycle move a tiny bit faster too.

No need to cycle beforehand for plants, it helps the cycle move faster because the bacteria on the plant leaves can kick-start the cycle.
