rookie has some ??s for first planted 3g

Hey whatsup everyone glad to finally join, Ive been a reef hobbyist for about 10 years but never did much with FW besides a couple bettas. After seeing so many beautiful FW planted possibilities lately I decided I want to have a go at it. I did some reading on here but its overwhelming bc its all so new to me. I just bought a 3g Long tank for my windowsill and I wanted some advice/help with it if you dont mind. it faces West so it gets decent light but not a ton.(enough for my bamboo and peace lilly)

As far as stock list I was thinking of the seachem Flourite Clay for substrate. and the plants i really like are dwarf baby tears for the carpet, a Wendtti, a water lettuce to float up top, and maybe dwarf grass or something else in there.

I plan on it being pretty low tech with just a heater and mayybe maybe a 5g powerhead with a little carbon filter cartridge on it. and Dosing with Flourish for co2. so my questions are:
1. Will the window be enough natural light for a healthy tank? (dont need it thriving like crazy but just enough to work)
2. is the flourite good enough for a substrate?
3. Will the flourish be enough to meet co2 needs? or will i need to make a DIY setup for it even though id rather not if i can get away with it

Thanks a lot i really appreciate it

To much sunlight will promote algae growth, so not in direct sunlight, please! Also, are you going coldwater or tropical. Many coldwater species won't survive in the temperatures of tropicals and vice versa. Hope this helps!

Terrors came from heaven with a note that said: Don't judge, just love. They ripped the note to shreds, but they still try to deliver the message!

no need for carbon, it will rob plants of organic compounds they could have absorbed

Put in a heater anyway, betta love it on the hotter side of the spectrum.
It will also help temperature be more stable. Many water parameters are affected by temps.
Stable parameters equal happy fish.
