Fluval Spec V Questions?

im planning on a Fluval spec V, I was hoping to have a Monte Carlo carpet mainly, and some other plants. I would have ADA Amazonia substrate, DIY CO2 and also be dosing Flourish Exel and comprehensive.

Do you think this would be possible with the light it comes with?

I'm using the stock light, it's pretty weak. Ludwigia tends to drop leaves at the lower levels, and AR internodes are a touch longer than in my other tanks. Even wisteria internodes are a little longer. That should give you an idea.
Considering the tank is short, and the light for me is only ten inches from the substrate.

If I were to change this light up for stronger I'd probably go for the 18" Current freshwater LED+. It's in my Angelfins cart, just have not pulled the trigger. Maybe after Christmas

That light looks gorgeous, wow.

I just thought it would be possible because I saw this and if you read the comments it seems do-able. Here's the link:

Yes, he has a journal here, I think, under @geealexg.

I'm sure a Monte Carlo carpet is possible, just that the results may not be as compact or as dense as you like in the low light that the Spec V has.

Wow Daisy! great help as always! I'm thinking I'll get another rimless from angelfins and a light I'll know I'll be satisfied with. Which one is the question *sigh*
