I would think anything under 10 gallons. But I have seen some people post as much as a 20 gallon in the nano area.

My planted tank. 55 gallon fluorite substrate over soil, 64 watts of light, excel twice a week. Weekly water changes. Angelfish pair, guppies, BN plecos and otos. Redone 11/13/2012
One non planted tanks. 75 gallon.

Is a nano tank smaller than a micro tank? Why haven't I ever heard of a micro tank?

What I'd really like to see is a kilo tank. Or a mega tank... yeah!

Nano tanks involve nano technology - it is not for the faint of heart or those who haven't a grasp of quantum mechanics. :-)

Seriously though, it's a "small" tank. Pico tanks are "smaller" tanks.
